 Illinois residents may apply for Medicaid at any time during the year and special enrollment periods may be granted throughout the year to apply for Marketplace insurance following  life-changing events, such as loss of employment.  Enroll DuPage offers free in-person appointments to people who want to learn about their options and enroll. Review and Renew Workshops

Residents who signed have signed up for Marketplace health insurance are required to "review and renew" their current insurance plan during Open Enrollment.

The Health Department has scheduled three free assistance workshops:

All workshops will be held at the Health Department's Central Office
111 North County Farm Road, Wheaton.

Clients are asked to bring a personal computer or smart phone to assist with Marketplace access. Health Department staff will be available at all three workshops to assist residents.

What to Bring to Your
Enrollment Appointment

When you apply for coverage in the Health Insurance Marketplace, you will need to provide some information about you and your household, including income, any insurance you currently have, and some additional items.

  • 1. Employer and income information for every member of your household who needs coverage (For example, from pay stubs or W-2 forms – Wage and Tax Statements)
  • 2. Policy numbers for any current health insurance plans covering members of your household
  • 3. A completed Employer Coverage Tool for every job-based plan you or someone in your household is eligible for (You’ll need to fill out this FORM even for coverage you’re eligible for but don’t enroll in)
  • 4. Your Social Security number

Community Education

If your organization would like to learn more about the Affordable Care Act, please fill out the information below and we will help you schedule a time (within 48 hours) to have an ACA Ambassador attend your event. Please note, events must have a minimum of 20 attendees. The presentation, with time for questions, should last no longer than an hour.
